Glass City Athletics is a prestigious athletic club
offering Volleyball, Basketball, and Baseball to young
athletes. Glass City Athletics offers club Volleyball
for young female athletes, Basketball for young female
and male athletes, and Baseball for young male athletes
in Toledo and Northwest Ohio. We provide expert training
and superior experience to help our athletes achieve
their personal best while encouraging teamwork and
self-discipline at school, home, and on the court and

Congratulations to Coach Jeff
Appelhans and his wife Pam (grandparents for the 1st
time), and former Glass City Coach Erin Appelhans
(Smith) and her husband Curtis on the birth of beautiful
Zia Smith- 8 pounds, 21 inches long born 3/5/12
|
Congratulations to Alison Zemanski, former Glass City
Athlete and West Virginia All-American on her induction
to the Rossford High School Hall of Fame.
At 28, she is one of the youngest athletes to be
inducted in their school in the area.
We are very proud of her accomplishments.
Alison works in Washington
D.C. for the National Parks Conservation
Association as the Media Relations Manager of the East
Coast and Midwest.

charities, the Glass City Volleyball families continue
to be caring members of the Greater Toledo community.

A very big THANK YOU to the many families that
showed up in very inclement weather to remember our
veterans- there were over 100 volunteers, and the park
was completely decorated in a day and a half!

Big Brothers and Big
Sisters
2011
saw the Glass City families add an additional charity to
their contributions list:
Big Brothers and Big Sisters - this year through
our efforts of holding 50/50 raffles at our home
volleyball tournaments, just under $800.00 was donated
to this very worthwhile organization.
Toledo Children's Hospital
Glass City Athletics “Kids Helping
Kids” Holiday
project.
Thanks to the generosity of The
Glass City families-we raised over $1,000 to help fill
the Toy Chests at the Toledo Children’s Hospital- way to
go and Happy Holidays - December 2011.
Salvation Army
Thank you to the players and families of Glass City
Volleyball who help the Salvation Army with a family in
need. Your donations of food, clothing, and furniture
helped a family that was in need of basic necessities.
